Today is the ultimate day where people reflect, gather with family, and spread thanks for one another. Every day is a day to be grateful for, but why not do it surrounded by those you love.

This year, I was unfortunately not able to make it home to my family in Arizona. Although I’m not with my family, I am thankful I have an amazing support system here in Texas! My amazing friend Ryann invited me over to her family’s house for Thanksgiving, and it is also her birthday!

I am blessed and thankful for every person, situation, trial, and tribulation that I have experienced this year. Every moving piece in my life is orchestrated by God and was perfectly planned by Him alone. Everything happens for a reason whether that be good or bad.

The best advice is to simply let things be, and give FULL control to God in EVERYTHING we do. Having ultimate trust and faith in His purpose is what heals the need to control. Allowing God to be God in your life instead of yourself will greatly impact your mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

This Thanksgiving, take some extra time after your food coma to reflect and spend time with God. Gratitude, appreciation, and a whole lot of thanks are keys to living a happy life.

Spread love and thanks today and everyday going forward.

Have a great Thanksgiving and enjoy these verses.

“Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
