Good afternoon and welcome back to my blog! Today is a special day for my female audience, Happy National Girls and Women in Sports Day!

When thinking about the game of golf, it is no secret that there is a lack of women's representation in the sport. Statistically speaking, 77% of golfers are male and the other 23% are female. In January, the USGA posted that out of 3 million golfers with a handicap index, women golfers made up less than 600,000.

Although the statistics are not in our control, we as women can band together to change the narrative and invoke change!

Being a woman has taught me so many life lessons, but being a woman golfer has taught me even more. In a sport such as golf which is often overshadowed by our male counterparts, it is important to stick together and encourage each other.

Being a woman golfer, there is a unique experience that only we understand. As time continues, it is vital to continue working towards getting more young girls and women to partake in this sport that was systematically never intended for us to enjoy.

Change is inevitable and it starts with you.

It is our job to push for representation and be the change we want to see, for us and future generations to come.

Women are powerful and unified, we can change history.
