Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog and into 2023! I hope everyone has started their year off amazingly, and I pray that it gets even better along the way.
Well, to address the elephant in the room… I rebranded my website!!! I am extremely proud to finally release my new and improved website to you all and I am just getting started!
I started my website last year and my passion for golf, writing, and Jesus grew with it. Through the process of rebranding, I looked back at my work and was overwhelmed with how much I have grown without fully realizing it. Rereading my work and remembering last year's highs and lows shifted my perspective and redirected my focus on what’s important to me.
To grow, you have to endure and persevere through challenging times. One of the biggest lessons I learned in 2022 that has changed my outlook revolves around this statement:
No one can motivate you but yourself.
A hard pill to swallow is coming to terms with acknowledging that you can be your own worst enemy. The only hindrance at hand that is holding your potential hostage is, well, yourself.
As I continued to work on the changes within my site, I had to be honest with myself and understand that the reason I am not where I want to be is no one’s fault but my own. Although it hurts, the phrase honesty is the best policy is true for a reason. The disappointment in letting yourself down should be more than enough motivation to get to your goals.
Honesty and intentionality are vital in starting the process of change. In my short time of being a blogger, God has touched my heart and reminded me that this website is for His glory, not mine. I am forever grateful to be blessed with my gifts, and I am thankful that I can use this platform to minister to people worldwide.
This 2023, my goal is to continue to spread the gospel while documenting my experience being a collegiate athlete. I am very excited to continue working on the projects I have in store for this year while building my relationship with Christ.
Starting the year on a positive note is always beneficial, and a great verse to hold dear this year is this...
"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to his purpose"
Romans 8:28
As always I love you, but Jesus loves you more <3
Happy New Year everyone!!
Stay vigilant and stay blessed (:
